NAC|Architecture announces the following staff promotions:
To Principal:
  Dan Jardine, AIADan Jardine, AIA, has over 27 years of experience managing the design and construction of a wide variety of healthcare projects, including clinics, diagnostic suites, patient wings, birth centers, and psychiatric facilities. Jardine graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Washington, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects Architecture for Health Panel and the Washington State Society for Healthcare Engineering.  
To Associate Principal:

Brent Compton, AIABrent Compton, AIA, is a high school designer and planner with over 27 years' experience and a portfolio of over four million square feet of educational projects, and his work has been exhibited in national and local forums. Compton is a member of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International. His recent projects include Lakes High School Replacement for the Clover Park School District in Lakewood, Washington, and the modernization and addition of Oak Harbor High School in Oak Harbor, Washington. He holds Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees from the University of Washington.

 

Philip Riedel, AIA, LEED® APPhilip Riedel, AIA, LEED® AP, is the project manager for the Carver Academic Facility Renovation Pre-Design at Western Washington University and is working on a comprehensive modernization and additions for Oak Harbor High School in Oak Harbor, Washington. In his over eight years with the firm, his previous projects have included the award-winning Wilson High School for Tacoma Public Schools. A member of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International, Riedel holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Boston Architectural Center.

 

Tom StroeherTom Stroeher, Chief Financial Officer, has been with the firm for over two years. In this time, he has developed and continues to refine streamlined and seamless accounting practices for NAC|Architecture’s multiple offices. Most recently, he completed a re-organization of account structures to accommodate the firm’s future growth while evaluating and improving current practices. Stroeher is a graduate of Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business-Accounting.

 

Randy Wilson, AIARandy Wilson, AIA, has a diverse portfolio and 24 years of design and project management experience. He was the project manager for the award-winning West Valley High School in Spokane, Washington. His current projects include the additions and modernization of Deer Park High School. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Montana State University.

To Senior Associate:
  Dan Kurtz, AIA, LEED® APDan Kurtz, AIA, LEED® AP, has been a member of the firm’s healthcare group for seven years. His experience includes projects at Deaconess Medical Center, and Valley Hospital and Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, and Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where he designed and detailed some of the most complex portions of these projects, including three MRI suites and 10 catheterization labs. Kurtz holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Idaho.  
To Associate:

Gary Braun, AIA, LEED® APGary Braun, AIA, LEED® AP, specializes in private and public healthcare projects. His portfolio of over 27 years' experience includes the new Group Health Bellevue Medical Center and projects for Highline Medical Center in Burien, Washington, as well as Cavelero Mid High School in Lake Stevens, Washington. Braun is a graduate of Montana State University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.

 

David Elms, RADavid Elms, RA, has been with the firm for a total of 16 years. His experience and designs can be seen in the varied projects within the fields of healthcare and education. Elms’ most recent projects are the Acute Care Addition and Remodel for Whitman Hospital and Medical Center in Colfax, Washington, and Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories tenant improvements in Spokane, Washington. Elms received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Washington State University.

 

Frances Gooding, AIA, LEED® APFrances Gooding, AIA, LEED® AP, holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree in Architecture from North Carolina State University. Since joining the firm in 2007, Gooding has been focusing on the Lakes High School Replacement for the Clover Park School District in Lakewood, Washington.

 

Ryan PalmquistRyan Palmquist has been with the firm for five years, serving in various roles. Currently, he is working on the design for Deer Park High School in Deer Park, Washington, and NAC|Architecture’s new addition to its office in Spokane, Washington, as well as designs for the Kootenai Medical Center Women’s and Children’s Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Whitworth University’s New East Residence Hall in Spokane, Washington. Palmquist is a graduate of Washington State University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.

 

Gordon PigottGordon Pigott, Network Administrator, is A+ certified through Global Network Technology Inc. Specializing in computer network management, Pigott is charged with installing, supporting and maintaining NAC|Architecture’s servers and other computer systems, including the firm’s video conference systems. During his six years with the firm, he has conducted research into emerging technologies to enhance the firm’s network and computer capabilities.

 

Miguel PosadaMiguel Posada has performed project management and construction administration functions for various public and private projects for over 14 years. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts in Design of Environment degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Presently, Posada is working on the design for the Hawaiian Gardens Library in Hawaiian Gardens, California.

  Sarkis Tarpinian has more than 26 years of experience in the construction industry and has worked with the firm since 2000. His capacity as construction administrator has included management of scheduling, project meeting coordination, site inspections, project coordination, acting as liaison between client and contractor, managing the contractor's cost estimating, quality control progress as well as the progress of the project, and evaluating change-order requests. Currently, he is working on projects for Garvey School District in Southern California and Los Angeles Unified School District. Sarkis Tarpinian
